We want your help.
Anyone who is remotely in touch with current events cannot deny that OUR planet is in a dreadful state, and we must all share a certain amount of guilt for this.
We live in a disposable society where more and more of the "stuff" we no longer require is thrown away. This is something we all do everyday.
I want to try to "do my bit" and help in whatever small way I can, and so as well as the recycling I do at home I thought that I may be able to do the same through the business. This is where you come in.
In our experience we have realised that in certain jobs we've done, i.e. removals, clearances etc, that outwith the original service we were booked for, the customer may have items that they no longer want or need, and generally this "stuff" is sent for disposal. Most of this "stuff" will end up in landfill. Does it have to?
Not everyone in this life is equal, some having more need than others, that IS A FACT!
The customers we asked who have "stuff" they don't want anymore don't really mind what happens to it as long as it doesn't hinder them. So I began asking if they would mind if we passed on working/useful items to others, who may not have. Most customers would rather that their "stuff" was used by someone else and not landfilled. So we have now handed on several items to people setting up home etc.
So now I recycle at work as well as at home.
If you have "stuff" that you would rather see recycled than landfilled, please let us know when you contact us. We will endevour to find a good home for your items wherever possible. We do this on a non-profit basis, merely passing the "stuff" on free to a good home, in an attempt to limit our contribution to OUR carbon footprint! As we make no profit from this service we do limit it to existing customers at the moment, but who knows how popular this might become?
Has this struck a chord?
